Chomsky on the Evolution of the Language Faculty: Presentation and Perspectives for Further Research

  • Reboul Anne C.

document type

The paper gives an overview of Chomsky's ideas about the evolution of language, notes that they have been remarkably stable throughout his long scientific life and that they match better with the present state of generative grammar (minimalism) than they did with previous versions. In a second part, further research perspectives are described.
